business development & sales consultant
I have mostly worked in face to face sales and customer service, as well as inbound/outbound calls. In sales, I have consistently earned high income as a commission only sales rep. I am a very quick learner and have a competitive edge. I am also an efficient and effective member on any team.
My career in sales began with retail sales and customer service in 2013, I excelled and overachieved on a daily basis in the retail environment and created a lot of regular clientele for the business.
In 2014 I took a position in a face to face sales company as a prospector. I performed on a high level and my acquisition skills grew tremendously over time. I focused mainly on charity sales and telecoms selling to business and home owners. On average I recorded 1.6x KPI target in my first year overall. I generated over 1 million dollars in revenue for the product owner and over 80 000 dollars profit for the sales company. My second year saw a promotion where i took a leadership and recruitment roll. I managed a group of 10 individuals of which i managed to hit KPI targets for my team 70% of weeks. I myself only went on the field 3 days a week and still managed to hit my KPI’s consistently. At the age of 19 years old I earnt 80000 $ dollars over the financial year in a commission only work place through personal and team sales.
I began a degree in commerce, majoring in marketing and management in 2016 and worked on a base wage in a business development role with the commonwealth bank as I needed a stable income and the bank environment grew sales professionalism as the CBA seta staggering standard. My over the phone customer service and sales skills can be attributed back to my face to face experience with customers. I learnt how to build verbal rapport and convert around 30% of customers hitting my KPI’s and team targets daily. I however felt the progress in the role was not adequate and the company forced me to use a customer service approach. The role was repetitive and lacked challenge.
I am a hard working individual and I am looking for a challenging sales role where I am able to put my knowledge and skill set at use, whilst creating the highest possible return for my employer and myself.
