As the first born son of South Korean immigrants I was born and raised In Chicago, IL. My parents had 4 boys and I grew up very active and participated in martial arts (Tae Kwon Do & Muay Thai Boxing) and loved competing in tournaments and that was a big part of my life. I received my black belt at 16 and continued to train throughout college. My family and I moved to Oregon after my dad received a job there. I loved Oregon the outdoors and I was accepted to the University of Oregon and worked part time to supplement my education and during one summer I got a job selling $1,500 preceptorship courses for Kaplan and I loved the fact that you could dictate your paycheck! I would never go back to a base pay job I was hooked! I did my research and decided to pursue medical device sales, the pinnacle of sales selling the most technical product sales and services to the most educated customer base in the world: surgeons and C-level executives at hospitals. So after I graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Sociology and Business minor. Theta Chi Alpha Sigma Chapter. Honors College. I networked and got an offer to be a AE for a local startup in the hearing aid industry. I was a top performer and went with the company’s to the twin cities after we were bought out and in my second year with the company was the top inside sales rep and won an all inclusive 10 day trip to Italy for me and a friend! I ended up being recruited by J&J and took a job that would bring me back to Portland as a rep for the medical device division of J&J (Ethicon) and sell biosurgical products in the operating room. It was a wonderful experience and I was one of the top reps in the country and made a lot of money and refined my salesmanship, business acumen, leadership, and character. I completed their Management Training and decided not to move to NJ and instead took a leap of faith and quenched my thirst for entrepreneurial ambitions and opened my own distribution company and for the past 13 years I have been a independent contractor helping small to midsize companies in the healthcare and fashion industry drive revenue through new business development and account management. I have grown to a network of 5 independent sales reps under me and we are looking to partner up with companies that have exciting products, services, and systems that need to be launched in this market or perhaps expanded upon the base business existing.
